ORIEL is a London developer of commercial and residential architecture. We design, fund and build our own work, and we keep an interest in all of it.

How We Work
Design
We appoint the architect and stay in the room. Every scheme is built as a physical model at 1:200 before anything is visualised, because a model invites disagreement and a render does not.
Fund
We fund from our own balance sheet and a small number of long-term partners. No scheme we have started has changed hands mid-build, which is the main reason none of them have been value-engineered into something else.
Build
We contract directly and keep the design team on through construction. The detail that gets drawn is the detail that gets built, or we find out why on site rather than in a photograph two years later.
Hold
We keep an interest in everything we complete. That single fact settles every specification argument before it starts, because we are the ones who live with the answer.
